Importance of Students at Al-Terra

Al-Terra has a large percentage of permanent staff, many who are in leadership positions now, who started as co-op students or interns. So what makes Al-Terra such an attractive a place for students to work?

• Students are assigned to a project, not to a task-related job, so students get to
see a project from start to finish.

• Al-Terra also has a flat-organizational structure and open door policy that allows students to interact daily with leadership.

• Al-Terra takes an active interest in a student’s career development.

Al-Terra looks for employees who have excellent technical skills and hiring students helps fulfill that need. Al-Terra primarily recruits from the University of Alberta, University of Saskatchewan, and NAIT but has employed students from across the country. If you are interesting in pursuing a student placement with Al-Terra, watch for opportunities posted at your post-secondary institution
