Vice President Dana Leithead retires from Al-Terra
Al-Terra Engineering Ltd. announces the retirement of Dana Leithead, P.Eng., Vice President and Manager of Municipal Engineering & Urban Renewal. Additionally, Dana has stepped down from her position on Al-Terra’s Board of Directors.
Dana began her tenure at Al-Terra in 1998 as a co-op student from the University of Alberta, becoming a full-time employee two years later. With her strong technical background focused on arterial roadway widening and rehabilitation, urban renewal, and industrial land development, Dana served in a number of key roles with the company. As a Project Manager and Director she managed integrated project teams to implement cost-effective solutions across all aspects of planning, design and construction.
In her role as Vice President and Manager of Municipal Engineering & Urban Renewal, Dana utilized her thorough understanding of each aspect of the project lifecycle. Her skills at project schedule development, quality control, risk assessment and mitigation, public engagement, and coordination with outside agencies ensured the successful completion of projects.
“I have been extremely privileged to have worked somewhere that my ambition and goals were so aligned with the opportunities provided and it has been incredibly satisfying,” said Dana in her farewell remarks. “Al-Terra has also been somewhere that I have felt my coworkers and colleagues were not only brilliant and talented but also my family. I have never wanted to work anywhere else.”
