Elmjay Industrial Park
Edmonton, AB

In the 70s, Al-Terra was challenged with creating an industrial park on land bisected by a meandering creek. To create a reasonable amount of usable parcels, realignment of the creek along the Sherwood Park Freeway was implemented. This required significant hydrological assessment as the realignment involved piping the creek under a major pipeline corridor. Stormwater detention was just being introduced as a requirement in 1977, so detention facilities were also incorporated into the development.
