What is your favourite thing about working at Al-Terra?
I feel valued and supported at Al-Terra. I contribute to the overall success of our company and feel honored to work with coworkers that I admire. My dedication is matched by my team, and I feel we are all pulling in the same direction. My mentors are experts in their fields and are eager to pass along their knowledge. There is a sense of excitement for things to come and gratitude of what has been achieved. We are a fortunate group, who live our core values.

What is your favourite vacation? Or What is on your vacation bucket list?
My favorite vacation was a Disney World trip with my husband and our 2 kids. Covid restrictions had postponed our long-awaited trip, so when restrictions were lifted, we were eager! We lived our best life for two weeks partaking in all the rides, experiences, and festivities. It was the most unrelaxing time, but my husband and I were committed to matching our kids' energy and enthusiasm. We earned big points! I cherish the memories of this trip.

How do you cultivate work/life balance?
I am at my happiest when the scale is balanced. I need to meet both my professional and personal responsibilities and have enough leisure time to recharge. I am fortunate to be supported at work and home. When I need to prioritize one over the other, I am met with genuine understanding and encouragement. In return, I try to provide the same consideration to my coworkers and family.

I am the legal survey manager at Al-Terra. I am in a position where I work closely with our municipalities and Land Titles Office. Through experience, good and bad, I have learned what works and what doesn’t. I offer valuable direction to a project and the quickest route to the end without missing any steps. I provide exceptional service to our clients by being easily accessible and never leaving questions unanswered. I am humble and will source assistance if I don’t know the answer. I connect with people easily and I am a clear communicator. I care about others and their needs and value the genuine relationships I have made. I have worked closely with Avalon Master Builder on numerous multi-family projects and have managed our survey services for thousands of Cedarglen and Cardel Homes.

I started with Kellam Berg Engineering and Surveys Ltd. right after high school. I left for a period of time to earn a marketing diploma and start a family. I have held many titles over the years and seen a lot of changes.
