I got hired by Marker Geomatics in August, 2024, and the transition from Marker to Al-Terra has been great to start 2025; so many good people and old acquaintances from years past. I’m really looking forward to the future here. I’ve surveyed now for 20+ years off and on, surveying major projects and small projects all across Western Canada.

I was raised as a land surveyor’s helper by my dad in Southern Alberta. It was a lot of fun. We also went camping and fishing a lot growing up, so the want for exploration was taught to me at a young age, as we were always on the move, and I’ve been exploring Canada ever since. After graduating high school, I got right into oil and gas, working seismic. The work was rough, but I loved the exploration; did it for five years and it was an amazing time. At twenty four, my friend told me he could get me a surveyor’s helper job at Fort McMurray with OE955 union. I worked up north for a year and got promoted to surveyor.

My main passion besides being a surveyor is fly fishing—all aspects of it—and I’m also a fishing guide if you ever want to go!
