Al-Terra believes in giving back to the communities it serves and helping those in need. One of our core values is to be compassionate citizens of our community. We not only express gratitude; we support and uplift our communities through charitable giving and volunteering. We do this because it is the right thing to do, and because this philosophy is an integral part of our culture.
Our commitment to charities goes beyond donations. Every year, an employee or a small group of employees become designated chairperson(s) and these individuals research and vote to select the Charity of Choice for that year. Everyone supports that year’s chosen charity through volunteering, employee-led fundraising events, initiatives, or personal donations.
Beyond our Charity of Choice, Al-Terra proudly supports the industries and communities where we work, live, and serve through sponsorships, participation, and volunteerism. We believe in nurturing strong relationships with people, communities, and the environments in which we live, work, and play.
2025 Charity of Choice
Our charity of choice this year is the R&R Empowering Society of Alberta. The R&R Empowering Society was established in memory of two young Albertans, Ryder (13) and Radek (11), who tragically lost their lives. This organization supports underprivileged children and youth throughout Alberta by providing access to sports, extracurricular activities, and life-enhancing experiences.
The foundation offers financial aid, scholarships, and resources to help these children realize their potential, nurture their passions, and encourage personal growth. By focusing on a wide range of activities, from sports to the arts and skill-building workshops, the society aims to develop future leaders and strengthen communities. The R&R Society transforms the memory of Ryder and Radek into a legacy of hope, empowering individuals and creating positive change across Alberta.

We feel honoured to be continuing the annual Charity of Choice program at Al-Terra and serve as the 2025 charity chairs. When the three of us first learned about the story behind the R&R Society and the incredible work they do to support the youth in Alberta, it deeply resonated with us and we knew that we wanted to support them this year. R&R’s passion and commitment to making a long-lasting impact on the youth in our community through their programs truly inspires us. We are excited to be working with them and we look forward to hosting some fun fundraising events together!
