Al-Terra provides transportation planning services to government, municipal, and private developer clients. We offer a range of planning services including functional planning studies, concept and preliminary plans, and feasibility and traffic impact assessments. We have a history of collaboration with the Canadian Highways Institute Ltd. for our transportation safety assignments in both urban and rural settings.
We possess a wide breadth of knowledge and experience having completed planning work ranging from trans-national highway design and development to freeway interchange design to arterial roadway corridor optimization, site development traffic impact assessments and rural road networks. Our teams have extensive experience providing review and feedback to municipal clients on proposed developments, assessing the impact on the municipality’s transportation network.
Our expertise lies in creating efficient concepts and plans that can be implemented with minimal unnecessary infrastructure. We prioritize innovative solutions and consider both micro and macro-level modeling using industry-standard applications such as Synchro, SIDRA, VISTRO, and VISUM. We also integrate GIS applications into transportation planning. In our plans and projects, safety is paramount. We are adherents to the Vision Zero philosophy, and we are adept at providing practical solutions to transportation engineering problems which consider the safety of all users.
