As Manager, Marketing and Communications at Al-Terra, I lead the firm’s strategic approach to brand, marketing, and communications across all areas of the business. I help shape how Al-Terra tells its story through visual, written, and digital platforms so it reflects who we are and what we stand for. My role combines strategic direction with hands-on creative leadership, guiding the firm’s visual identity, design standards, and branded materials to create a cohesive and impactful presence. My work spans brand strategy, digital channels, internal and external communications, and document and messaging development, where I aim to weave consistency and meaningful communication into our business language and support our strategic goals.
In 2023, after many years as an in‑house designer for a provincial art museum, where my work focused on graphic and exhibition design, wayfinding, and publishing, I joined Al-Terra as a Brand and Creative Strategist. In that role, I managed company communication channels, provided writing and marketing support, explored opportunities through social media and the web, and assisted project teams with their initiatives. In 2026, I stepped into a leadership position and became a manager.
I have also had the opportunity to teach design and visual communications courses at public institutions across Canada since 2009, most recently as an adjunct instructor at SAIT through their extended studies and continuing education programming. In addition to my Design degree, I hold diplomas and certificates in Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Imaging, Applied Communications, and Web Design. I appreciate the way that my role allows me to draw on my diverse experience in teaching, mentoring, marketing, publishing, and design to build and maintain a clear, cohesive brand voice.
I am concurrently pursuing an Executive MBA, deepening my leadership focus and aligning my skills with strategy and organizational development, and bringing that perspective into my work at Al-Terra.
Design is thinking made visual.”
