As I transition in my professional career with Al-Terra as a landscape designer, I am passionate about designing spaces that foster community connection and environmental resilience. My current focus is on stormwater management and green infrastructure, particularly in response to the challenges posed by climate change. I’m eager to contribute to creating sustainable, vibrant spaces that benefit people and the planet.

I earned my undergraduate degree in Architecture in India, followed by a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Calgary. My undergraduate thesis focused on the flow of visitors along the Brahmaputra riverbanks in my hometown, where I recognized the urgent need to address riverbank erosion. Designing the riverfront sparked my desire to pursue landscape architecture as a career.

At the University of Calgary, I was part of the student-led research group, UCalgary Avant Garden. We focused on improving campus biodiversity and researching best practices for landscaping. I also served as the student journal editor for SAPL’s Ultra Journal and worked as a research assistant on the “Residential Alley Urbanism” project. This project allowed me to implement native plant species for green edging along back alleys, enhancing stormwater management through green infrastructure.
