I am the general manager of Al-Terra’s Calgary office and manager of the southern Alberta land development team with over 30 years of experience in the consulting industry, including the last 18 years at Al-Terra. I am also a Director on Al-Terra’s Board. I am passionate about creating communities where people live, work, and play, and I am excited to see and experience these places every day.

My career progression started with construction surveying for greenfield subdivision projects and continued with subdivision design, stormwater management and low impact development, private site design, and finally managing and mentoring various teams within Al-Terra. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto. I am licensed to practice engineering in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Ontario.

I believe we need to recruit more young people into the consulting industry. It is a dynamic, growing industry. We are fortunate to design, build, and in some cases, rebuild places that improve our citizens’ quality of life, both in urban and rural areas. We get to touch, feel, and experience the projects we work on. I am most proud of all the school and institutional projects we are involved with, as these are the launching points for our future leaders and entrepreneurs.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, camping, hiking, backpacking, travelling, and downhill skiing.
