Century Downs Racetrack and Casino

Century Downs Racetrack and Casino is located one mile north of the City limits of Calgary and 7.2 km from the Calgary International Airport. It is ideally positioned adjacent to the Highway 2, the main corridor between Calgary and Edmonton and next to the CrossIron Mills Shopping Mall, a major regional attraction in Balzac.

Working with a smaller site, our team revised the original Master Site Development Plan to produce an efficient site which still included flexibly for future expansion. Innovations included Provincial approval of a privately owned stormwater pond which provides non-potable water for irrigating the race track. By collaborating closely with racing industry experts, we were able to deliver a race track and site layout which accommodates a variety of racing events and leaves the possibility of facility expansion in the future.
